Here’s our story.
This is where it all began. Raised in the local community we still call home, Nate learned early the value of family, hard work, and showing up for the people who matter most.
Nate and Sheila Walters, 1971
At just 11 years old, Nate printed his first business cards and began mowing lawns to save for college, a venture he would continue through high school to pay for his education at the University of Washington.
Fatherhood changed everything. This moment marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment - not just to family, but to building something lasting for the next generation.
Nate and Tyler, 1995
Early years in the industry.
In his twenties, Nate began his professional career in Seattle, learning the fundamentals of the financial industry and shaping the values that would later define his own firm. From the very beginning, Nate’s wife, Kelley has been his steady partner, supporting the long hours, the big decisions, and the vision they were building together.
Success was never a solo pursuit. This moment reflects a team effort, shared sacrifice, shared values, and shared pride in work done the right way.
Time together has always mattered. Even as Nate’s career grew, family remained the constant, grounding everything else.
In 2025, Tyler joined Nate in his practice, a decision that had been in the works for years. Three decades later, the mission remains the same: serve with integrity, value relationships over transactions, and build something meaningful for the generations that follow.

Here’s the story behind our office.
When we purchased the property, we were immediately greeted by and drawn to the potential of the old structure, sitting on the edge of the water. Years later, it became known as the ‘boat house.’ It became an escape for us, to bask in the views and feel the crisp air from the Puget Sound. We spent many summer nights here.
For nearly a century, the structure stood as a familiar landmark on Liberty Bay. Years later, time took its toll, leaving it compromised, with wooden pilings rotted through and the building on the brink of total loss.
Ultimately, we made a decision that felt both practical and timely: to replace the old structure by building a new one from the ground up, in what would ultimately become our personal, waterfront office.
What started as an idea to create a better meeting space has become the heart of not only our firm, but also an experience for our clients. Today, it serves as a full-time office and a place where we regularly host clients, whether for financial planning conversations, reviews, or simply to sit together and take in the sights of water, mountains and wildlife.
